What is ISO 9001?
UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 represents one of the most relevant international standards in the corporate landscape. It is an optional guide to assist companies and organisations of various sizes and sectors in defining and improving their quality management systems. Introduced in 1987, ISO 9001 has undergone significant revisions over the years. The most significant change occurred in 2000, while the 2008 revision resulted in no significant changes. In 2015, however, there were major changes regarding the structure, which became known as the High-Level Structure (HSL), and greater management involvement, which includes analysis of the business environment and stakeholders. UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 focuses on ensuring that an organisation meets the needs of its customers and stakeholders while aiming for continuous improvement in the efficiency of internal processes. This standard provides a detailed framework for implementing an effective quality management system, which can lead to greater customer satisfaction, better risk management and overall improvement in the organization’s performance. Implementation of ISO 9001 is also a valuable tool for self-assessment and refinement of internal processes. In several industries, obtaining certification has become an essential prerequisite for bidding for contracts, leading to a significant increase in demand for certification over the past 15 years. Many companies also choose to start with UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 certification as a starting point for later obtaining additional certifications specific to their industry, such as ISO 14001, ISO 27001, and ISO 13485 (the latter exclusively in the medical sector).

3.The creation of the required documents is a shared work between the Client’s team and the Orlando Engineering & Consulting team, with continuous supervision by the referring consultant.
4.Prior to the audit by the certification body, a second internal audit is performed to ensure that the entire quality management system is under control.
5.Finally, during the certification process, the consultant responsible for this project will directly support the client to ensure that the certificate of conformity with the standard is achieved.
